Dear friends,
As we celebrate the Holiday Season and welcome the New Year, I’m thrilled to share exciting news: I am running for re-election to the White Plains Common Council, and I humbly ask for your continued support.
Serving as your Councilman for the past three years has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with our community to advance Democratic values and deliver meaningful, lasting change.
Together with my colleagues, we’ve worked tirelessly to make White Plains a vibrant, forward-thinking city. During my tenure, we’ve passed balanced budgets on time and under the challenging 2% state-mandated tax cap, ensuring fiscal responsibility without compromising critical services, we have also achieved a record high Fund Balance and welcomed innovative developments with adaptive re-use strategies, expanded affordable housing, and strengthened our affordable housing fund. Additionally, I supported the first Comprehensive Plan update in over a decade, shaping our city’s future growth.
Public safety remains a top priority and I voted to hire additional police officers and firefighters, secured funding for emergency services upgrades, and supported equipping officers with body cameras and non-lethal tasers. I also supported a fully electric garbage truck purchase and voted to ban gas-powered leaf blowers with a thoughtful, phased approach balancing environmental and practical needs. Recognizing the importance of smart infrastructure, I voted to strengthen protections against 5G risks, championed shared mobility updates to attract bike-sharing, and supported extending the red-light camera program and approving enforcement cameras for stopped school buses to enhance safety.
Finally, as a member of the Transportation and Vision Zero Committees, and a 17-year resident of downtown White Plains, I understand the importance of safe, accessible streets. Safer streets create a healthier, more connected, and inclusive community and I remain committed to advocating for all residents—pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike.
White Plains is on the move, and I’m proud to have contributed to its growth, prouder still of the 14 years I have served as a White Plains District Leader. I ask for your support to continue building on our successes—to ensure responsible development, strengthen public safety, and create a sustainable, equitable future for all.
Thank you for your trust, partnership, and commitment to our city. Let’s keep White Plains moving forward together.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful Holiday Season and Happy New Year.
